CBD oil bei Endometriose

CBD oil has now become a popular remedy for a wide range of complaints. The abbreviation CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a substance extracted from the female hemp plant. Unlike THC, however, CBD has no intoxicating effect. This purely natural extract is used by some people with endometriosis to alleviate their symptoms and serves as a plant-based alternative to pain medications. In women with endometriosis and patients with dysmenorrhea, taking CBD oil or using CBD suppositories over a period of six months was associated primarily with improved sleep quality. Difficulties staying asleep and early awakening were also reduced. The participants’ quality of life increased and the number of sick-leave certificates decreased.

Closely linked to CBD is the human body’s so-called endocannabinoid system. Among other things, it is thought to play an important role in nerve function and, consequently, in pain perception. In conditions such as fibromyalgia, migraine, or irritable bowel syndrome, a deficiency of endocannabinoids has been observed. Taking CBD oil could be helpful here. With regard to endometriosis, involvement of the endocannabinoid system also appears likely. However, due to the many different complaints that accompany endometriosis, it is still unclear exactly how this system should be targeted to achieve improvement. Overall, this line of research is still at a very early stage. Nevertheless, it is assumed that a promising approach may be found here.

If you would like to find out for yourself whether CBD oils can help relieve your symptoms, you should first discuss it with your doctor. CBD oils can either enhance or diminish the effects of certain medications. These include pain medications, neuroleptics, anticoagulants, and acid-suppressing agents. If side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, or a dry mouth occur, you should reduce the dosage. In general: the higher the concentration of the oil, the fewer drops are needed. It is also important not to buy oils labeled as cosmetics, as these are not subject to stricter food regulations and may contain higher concentrations of intoxicating THC.
